Luke Feels Blessed

NASHVILLE, TN � May 15, 2008 - The ACM Top New Male Artist nominee, Luke Bryan couldn't be more excited about all the great things happening in his life and career - especially this week. The great opportunities happening for Bryan have culminated for him this week as he was able to spend a couple rare days off in Nashville with his family, he then heads to Atlanta on Friday for the WKHX fair before he prepares to end the week in Las Vegas to vie for his first major award nomination - the ACM Top New Male Artist award.

"This week is surreal because everything I have always dreamed about is in essence happening to me this week," beams Luke Bryan. "I've got a happy healthy new baby and a beautiful wife; I am opening shows for THE biggest artist and tour in country music right now AND I am up for my first ACM Award. My whole family is coming to Vegas to help me celebrate - win or lose. Life can't get much better than this."

The media is paying attention to this Georgia native right now as well. This week started off with COUNTRY WEEKLY being able to sneak in on some of the Bryan family time as they followed them to a local park outside of Nashville on Tuesday to catch some fun moments with Luke and his son. This issue will hit stands June 16 - the day after Father's Day.

Hitting stands tomorrow (May 16) will be Bryan's feature in PEOPLE Magazine's Country special issue. People magazine caught the first glimpse of then 3-week old Thomas Boyer "Bo" Bryan in a full feature with Luke and wife Caroline. CMT brought this photo shoot with the Bryan's to life in a half-hour special PEOPLE' COUNTRY SPECIAL ON CMT, to coincide with the issue. Bryan is featured along with Kenny Chesney, Clint and Lisa Hartman Black and Jack Ingram. The special will debut on CMT, Saturday, May 17 at 1:30 pm, ET/PT and will encore on Sunday, May 18 at 9:30 a.m ET/PT and 1:30 pm ET/PT.

Also on Saturday, May 17 at 1:30 PM, ET, GAC will be re-airing their ACM SHOWCASE special featuring Bryan in their ACM Top New Male nominees show.

On Sunday, watch GAC's LIVE "Orange" Carpet pre-show as they talk to Luke Bryan just before he steps inside the MGM Grand for Academy of Country Music Awards live telecast (broadcast on the CBS Television network at 7:00 CST) where he will be vying for the ACM Top New Male artist award.

Luke Bryan's current single "Country Man" is making an impact on the country singles chart.
