Join Luke in Project Paper Doll

Nashville, Tenn. (Nov. 6, 2008) The 2nd Annual Project Paper Doll (PPD),  featuring over 50 uniquely decorated wooden paper dolls representing the signature symbol in the Monroe Carell Jr. Childrens Hospital at Vanderbilt logo, is set to kick off on eBay November 28 through December 17. The one of a kind pieces of art were decorated by actors, athletes, comedians, musicians, professional bass fishing anglers and more. The celebrity-driven auction generates national awareness and financial support for the Childrens Hospital, which was recognized as one of the premier pediatric hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

An unveiling of the wooden paper dolls decorated and autographed by stars such as Carrie Underwood, George Strait, Rascal Flatts, Jessica Simpson, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Merle Haggard, Christina Aguilera, Little Big Town, the cast of Gone Country (Bobby Brown, Maureen McCormick, Dee Snider, etc), Jordin Sparks,  Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, Faith Hill,  Kid Rock,  plus many others will take place at the PPD Kick-Off Party Nov. 17 hosted by PPD Honorary Chairman Brian Philips, Executive Vice President/ General Manager CMT.

A national online auction launching Friday, November 28, on eBay.

Last years inaugural event raised enough money from the eBay auction to purchase everything on the hospitals Music Therapy Wish List. The paper doll that brought in the largest bid was George Strait going for $2030.00. Martina McBrides doll was sold to a special fan for $1,325. A father of a neonatal intensive care newborn patient at the Childrens Hospital purchased the doll for his wife because she is a big fan of the superstar and the lyrics reminded them of their newborn daughter.

This is what Project Paper Doll does -- brings all these groups together to not only raise money for the kids at Childrens Hospital, but it also brings well-deserved attention to all of their world class effort and work they do for sick children here in Tennessee and all over the U.S.  Said Bryan Frasher, VP of National Promotion for BNA Nashville, who along with his wife Traci, founded Project Paper Doll.

Fans and collectors can log onto eBay on November 28th to bid on their favorite paper doll decorated and autographed by their favorite celebrity.  The artwork will be auctioned off in three phases between November 28 and December 17th.  The highest bidder wins the one-of-a-kind treasure, and the Monroe Carell Jr. Childrens Hospital at Vanderbilt gains the continued ability to get children well on their way!
