LUKE BRYAN CELEBRATES FIRST #1 WITH DO I

Luke has a lot to celebrate this holiday season. The first single, Do I, off his new album Doin My Thing, has landed at #1 on the 12/14/09 Country Aircheck/MediaBase chart, the first of his career. The video spent an amazing 7 consecutive weeks at #1 on the GAC Top 20 countdown.

The song, co-written by Bryan and Lady Antebellums Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, garnered 37.2 million audience for the singles chart of 12/7/09.  That is the fifth largest weekly audience of any single on the BDS/Billboard chart this year.

Earlier this month, Bryan wrapped his first hugely successful Miller Lite sponsored headlining tour, Doin My Thing Tour, in his home state of Georgia. During the tour he performed a special show for his hometown of Leesburg, Georgia as well as kicking off his inaugural Farm Tour show in Statesboro, Georgia over 8,000 fans attended both. These shows are specially created concerts put together as a way to give back to a charity or organization in local farming communities. These special one-off shows will continue throughout Bryans career with additional dates already planned for 2010 and will be announced in 2010.

Bryan released his second album, Doin My Thing, for Capitol Records Nashville landing at #2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and #6 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 album chart selling over 57,000 albums in its first week of release, more than doubling the first week sales of his debut album Ill Stay Me in 2007. Bryans first single off the new album, his co-written song Do I, is the highest charting single of his career.

In January Bryan will hit the road again performing his own headline dates as well as guesting on Jason Aldeans Wide Open Tour.
